I got BBS today...

...for the first time. Best shave I have had ever. I have been really working on my technique lately and been experimenting with different blade and soap combos. So today's shave was with my R89, a Tesco 'Israeli' blade and a mix of Boots Cool Cologne Lather Cream and Erasmic Soap. My 3 pass method was 1xWTG, 1xATG and another 1xWTG. No nicks either.

I guess it is a classic case of YMMV. I have tried all sorts of different methods and my face seems to suit that one best.

It took me almost 8 months to be able to get BBS shaves without ripping my face apart, don't worry it will come, it's all about beard reduction, at least 3 pass, good angle and proper blade for your face.

Thats the sequence of pass I take and it works great everytime.

Be careful on your searches... BBW means something totally different even though the W and S keys are close together on the keyboard!

So what? I strive for DFS every time since BBS is giving too much irritations.

The key principle of wet shaving is still 'don't force it'. Neither pressure nor closeness of the shave.
