Is reddit just for younger people to spatter on about the only things they believe in or like? And is forumesque? Definitely not for me. I gave up on facespace and mybook a few years after joining them each.
I prefer an open (mostly) conversation about my hobbies or things i like especially when i learn or respect what other people are posting about. You don't like less costly shaving products, ok tell me about it (within the forum rules).
So @OldSaw go create or find a similar reddit and cry about the banning there. I am sure, from what people in this forum have said, you will find a group of whining people whinig about your same issue...

The reason I mentioned it here is because this place has been a longtime hangout for me. I’ve made some very good online friends over the past 20ish years here.
I wasn’t whining, I was looking for advice from trusted members in this forum. I feel comfortable here and often ask and give when asked lots of nonshaving advice.
I didn’t just roll into town like a tumbleweed looking to stir up dust. Even though I don’t visit as often as I used to, I still feel very much at home here. The Barber Shop is one of my favorite places at B&B.

I owe you a tiny apology. My comments were/are about that particular media thing and the majority of the people who use it.
I didn"t look at your time and all in this forum. But the what i believe is a custom title given to you lets me know you are well known, liked and have probably been signed up with B&B for some time.
And from what you said about that media place and the mods and all, has me wondering why people and you join it.
One more time i apologize for most of what my 1st reply sounded, i sound so much better in my head... hahaha...

I have only been on the other venue for for a few months. It kind of started with a renewed interest in photography, my love of cooking & cookware, plus a few other things like kitchen design.
I am sorry for your no previous advice banning, but things in those digital media are what they are these days, I would not give it too much thought. On another hand, I am glad you posted your other interests here, I am a fan of vintage audio and a vinyl record collector and as I like to say, from my experience, we are not "knuckleheads" of just one thing (someone please explain that to my wife..)

The closest thing that I have to vintage audio is my Model One table radio from Tivoli Audio. I bought it when I was managing a machine shop. I wanted something that had extremely simple and intuitive controls that could be quickly silenced for the many interruptions that cropped up and yet gave good sound when I was alone in the office.I am sorry for your no previous advice banning, but things in those digital media are what they are these days, I would not give it too much thought. OP, did you get banned for a set timeframe? 2 weeks, a month, etc. Or permanently?
I was banned from Reddit for no real reason a few years back for 2 weeks. I told the idiotic power hungry mod to make my ban for life. I deleted all of my posts and account and haven’t been back since. I don’t miss it as Reddit is a huge time suck IMO.

Had to look it up in wikipedia since I had never heard of it. A company founded in the 2000's would hardly be considered "vintage" audio, but it is nice to see they put out "vintage" radios! I have this truly vintage radio that was produced by a joint venture between the Ford Motor Company and a Brazilian company named Philco in Brazil in the 70's. There are not too many short and medium wave radio stations around but on a clear sky day I used to be able to tune to radios from Europe and South America. I believe the Vatican still broadcasts in all frequencies, but the advent of the internet has displaced the use of those frequencies, although I do carry my Sony 12-band around at times when taking off road trips.

If they have it set up where you can’t appeal your ban or give you a reason why you are out, they aren’t interested in creating a real community with discourse and different thoughts.
Create your own subreddit and mirror the own you were kicked off of. Recruit the other redditors, become a mod. Allow the mods who banned you to join then kick them off sporadically over the course of a few months with no explanation. This is a long game revenge plan, you must be invested to proceed.
I think the revenge of The Count of Montecristo was less elaborately planned than that.
I encountered another wetshaving hobbyist at an antique mall some time ago. We talked a bit. He said he was aware of B&B, but did not use it. He preferred Reddit instead for his fix.
Then he told me he was pretty much just a Hensen guy now.
Ah, I thought. A weirdo. If DE wetshaving has a cult, it is the Hensen crowd.

I've looked at Reddit now and then, but only if it comes up while I'm looking for specific information. As a "forum", I don't think I'd care for its layout and structure.
