What's new

I get my best and most comfortable shaves if I skip a day between shaves.

Yes. Me, too. Multi-day growths are very easy, and satisfying to shave. I can use any razor---and I'm loving the RR Jaws OC for that now.

For me, a shave every other day is optimal for closeness and comfort. However, I take pride in looking very well groomed so I do shave mostly every day.

Most guys shave every day and have no issues. A minority have irritation problems and even those who skip a day get irritation.

I would hate to skip a good clean shave each day, and thankfully I'm in the majority on this one, but I sympathize with those who do.

I have problems shaving everyday. I must have super sensitive skin because I get really sore if I try for a BBS shave. So I try to shave every other day or three days is even better.

I shave everyday but I have heard others like to "rest" their face. Perhaps this "rest" period works well for you. Enjoy your shaves and do it your way.

I shave daily for work and at least once on the weekend - Merkur Vision or Futur (based on mood) with Personna Med Prep, and I get a DFS without irritation every time.

Absolutely! To make things a bit clearer, I can and usually do, shave on a daily basis. No irritation, no problems, very good shaves. But I do admit, on the occasions I get to skip a day, or two, the shave is more enjoyable and typically I get even better results. And on those days, I really enjoy a slightly more aggressive razor. i got lucky this week and had two opportunities for a multi-day shave.

Everyday, or even two times a day, no problem. It really depends on the blade, shaving implement, prep and tech and how fast I want to be done. I would be in real bad shape if I were using an extremely mild safety-bar razor with ultra sharp blades though.

+1 - this for me also

I like to skip a day or two. I don't need to be clean shaven, but I prefer it. It's usually due to skin sensitivity problems or if I've gotten enough sleep.

If I shave two days in a row, it's always uncomfortable for me. Every other day if pretty optimal for my skin.
