one of the best razors I ever shaved with was a 4/8 pipe razor. i seriously think it outshined all my customs. Too bad I just honed it, and it didnt belong to me.

Makes me wonder if I should have tried it before selling it. Then again, as a n00b to straights, I don't know what I want, yet, other than something pretty and shiny.

Did you hone it before using it? Or did you find it in shave-ready condition?
