Ever wonder why VDH has a badger brush in stock, but doesn't apparently market it directly, and you have to order it from them directly?
I think I have found the reason, see here:

This Country Uncle looks very similar to the VDH Badger, and is at a very similar price point.
If you peruse the rest of the site, you will see that Country Uncle also sells a Select, Glycerin, and Deluxe shave soap.
If you navigate back out to the brushes, page, they are selling the "Country Uncle Boar" which is obviously the same product as the VDH boar.
It looks to me that these are simply re-branded VDH.
