I finally found your secret!

Polsilver SI. Holy hell!!! Where you guys been hiding this blade??!! Just discovered it today! Everybody says try blades till you find the one that works for your skin and razor combo. I thought I had found my blade in the Gillette black but this blade just blew that outta the water! Used it in my EJ89L today but can't wait to try it in my collection of birth year Gillettes. Zero irritation. Zero nicks or weepers. A big happy smile on a BBS face! Ultimate "shave nirvana" at its best! (Hey! Is SN an official abbreviation on this forum? I could be onto something here...)


This blade is gonna get a ride in my fatboy, super speed flair tip, slim, and slim executive. 1961 was a good year for Gillette razors and today was a great day for a Polsilver SI blade! I hope the performance holds up in all those razors too. Even if it doesn't, Mr EJ89 has found his permanent blade.


What else are all you guys hiding from me??? If I find out that somebody invented a soap or cream to shave with, I'm gonna be ticked...

P.s. Can you say "Bulk Order Polsilver" ??? BOP! Heck! There's another one! Maybe even a new club too! I'm already picturing it in my signature line...

Get out of my head. I was going to post nearly the same thing, word-for-word. Used one yesterday for the first time in my EJ89. I try to stick to one side when testing blades out, and today's second shave was just a bit rougher (that's a completely subjective term). Today's second shave was noticeably better than most first shaves I've had.

They're made by PPI in Saint Petersburg Russia.

Not sure where they're manufactured, box says St Petersburg, but they fall under the gillette umbrella I believe. Someone else is going to have to narrow it down better. Sorry

I am also hiding some Personna Labs and some Supermax Titaniums (not sunrise).

Personna Labs are declared in my book as being the most best combination of sharp/forgiving not to mention that is up there with the top in terms of smoothness. Also, the personna barber blades that were my very first blade seems to be a bad stock, as I still can't shave with them, and almost made me not give any other personna blades a chance.

Supermax Titanium? Don't let yourself be fooled by the apparent roughness as it gave me the easiest BBS ever without biting me, also, my face felt the best out of all blades I tried so far.

Both came from the TGBE from the forum, can't wait to try some more.
