Beautiful Duofold pen. The box is for a Parker 61, not the Duofold. There is a Parker pen website that shows examples of the different models of ths 61s. The photo below shows a 61 that I have, the second one from the left.

Was this an in-the-wild flea market or an antique shop? Either way, that looks like a fantastic deal. I know nothing about the pen, but it's very pretty, whatever it is. Have you tried to put ink in it, or will it need restoration?

You have a very nice looking Striped Duofold (sometimes referred to as a Douvac) there as well as a good looking Parker 61 box and instructions. If I were you, I'd hang on to that box and instructions and eventually pair it up with an equally nice 61. In the mean time, you have a vac-filled striped Duofold with a decent nib to play with. You'll most likely want to send that pen out for maintenance and filler refurbishment. The striped Duofolds are very nice writers once restored.

sounds like a good reason to buy another pen lol. i will look in to getting it refurbed, i really like the way it looks. that link is now in my favorites lol

Yes, you have a vacumatic-filling Duofold (no relation to the classic button filler Duofold from the 1920s). They are nice pens, but you will likely have to replace the sac, which in a vacumatic pen is a small nipple-ended sac and in my experience a royal PITA to do yourself. It requires a special wrench that is made to unscrew the filling unit. I have the wrench, but I've still never successfully changed a vacumatic sac myself. Luckily, there are plenty of vintage pen repair guys who can do it for about $40.

As for the Parker 61, they are beautiful pens, especially the early ones with the two-tone "rainbow" gold plated caps. They use a unique capilary filling system, where you simply dip the pen in the ink bottle, and the pen automatically sucks the ink up by itself. The problem comes when you want to clean the pen and get the ink out. It's again a royal PITA. here's some info on the 61: http://www.richardspens.com/?page=ref/profiles/61.htm
