i was out of town last night. brought my gillette NEW wilkinson blades and cremo shave cream. didnt even bring a brush. 3 passes and had an excellent shave. what witchcraft is this ?!?!?!

The NEW is magic..... no shenanigans involved. 
The Cremo is slicker than Mackerel slime, you can do a 12 pass shave with zero irritation. The only negative is the orange hand cleaner smell. The slickness and zero irritation claims on this one really are unbelievably true.

I was shocked by how quick and clean the shave was. Smell isn't great but I'll take it for a good shave. Gonna have to try it with a straight tomorrow.
I always have a couple of tubes of Cremo in the shave den. Mornings when I don't feel like whipping up shaving cream it's what I go to. For a while I got really lazy and was using it every day, for a month or more. I always get a good shave with it.
Just goes to show that a brush is not as essential as we'd like to think - but is sure is nice!
