First I'd like to say thanks for all of the great information you all have given us rookie convert shavers! I've been doing this wet shaving thing for about 2 months now...with a Rooney 3/1 super brush. Well last night in what i can only describe as a moment of weakness i ordered 3 Simpson brushes...

This is his main problem now...it will be three days before he's tried all of them. Bet he shaves twice a day the rest of this week!

I have the Commodore X3 and it is my favorite brush right now. I also have the X3 in pre Vulfix. My Harvard H3 is a recent acquisition and I really enjoy that brush too.

The X3 has a great backbone but feels so soft on the face. It works equally well with soaps and creams and I face lather with both of them.

Since you're new, try to use each brush individually for a week at a time. That way you'll quickly learn not only what you like best about each brush, you'll also be better at lathering with each one.

Not an Issue for me anymore, made a seven day set.
handle style that suits me,Exact same TGN Grade A knots (24mm) all with the exact same loft (48mm) accept for handle materials they are all clones.

What a great idea !!!

I ( and SWMBO) have been wondering how in the world I was going to work my way through all the software I have.

Shaving twice a day is the answer !!
Maybe some version of a WTG in the morning and some version of a XTG in the afternoon.

It's been said before that some of us find it cyclical - I'm going through what I think the end of a purge and the beginning of a large swell (at least three brushes inbound, I feel the need to make it four).
