I think the best one I got was one claiming that I had won a large sum of money in the Jamaican Banana Lottery. It's almost as if they stopped trying. I hadn't played any lotteries, but seriously....the Jamaican banana lottery?

Earlier this year I received a phone call notifing me a had won a nice prize (I can't remember what it was) and all I had to do was send some small fee to cover all the taxes and such. I let the guy go thru the whole speech and then told him that I really didn't need the prize and I was feeling very generous and that he could have my "winnings". He didn't know what to say for several seconds then said I couldn't do that. Why I asked if I won it then I can give it away, so I give it to you. The conversation went downhill after this, but I had him tied up on the phone for at least 5 or 6 minutes.

The the other day I had one from the "UK Revenue & Customs" telling me I had a tax rebate due. All I had to do was go to a web site with a very suspicious address to claim it.

Since then, I've had the same one again with three different amounts!
