Heres a large hybrid japanese razor with a barber notch.The damascus is two high carbon steels in a twist pattern.

Mark, would love to hear how you hone one of these hybrids? 3/2, 1/1 or all on one side. I am not an expert at this, but am very curious as to how you get a hybrid shaped blade "shave ready".

I love how you can see 'inside' the grain where youve ground it for the blade.

Actually the grind of the blade looks just like a microtome so I would image the same way guys have sharpened those for shaving use would work for these too.
