Humidor help

That's a good looking humidor at a great price. I don't know anything about this store, but as long as it has a good seal and is lined with Spanish cedar on the inside, you're fine. If you don't care about looks (especially the glass top), you can probably find one for even cheaper on cigarbid (auction-style cigar store but all their inventory comes from one company rather than individual sellers). Cigarbid is probably the cheapest place to go for cigars and accessories.

Make sure you season the humidor correctly. If your cigars are already dried out by the time you get your humidor and season it, you will have to bring the humidity up slowly so as to not crack your cigars as the inner tobacco will expand with the humidity faster than the wrapper.

I would also recommend getting a digital hygrometer as those analog ones are not as reliable. You can find one pretty easily on eBay or cigarbid.

The problem with Web bought humidors is you can't check the seal until they have shipped, and most of the cheaper ones have a good deal of manufacturing variance. More effective would be a tupperdor or coolidor, using a Heartfelt type humidity device. If you want something that looks nice & actually works, Diamond Crown is one of the better ones. But the cheapos will work also as long as you check them daily & refill the humidifyer .. and +1 on a digital hygrometer

Just depends on whether you value form (Diamond Crown) or function (Tupperdor).
