Amazing! I didn't know straight razors were so forgiving. Now I see why safety razors are a scam to get people to keep buying blades 
My shave is almost identical but I don't use powder.
Always good- this time, good for a cringe!

As a person who actually shaves with open blade razors, I can tell you that it is almost painful for me to watch that clip.

Even when I was a child, Moe whacking Curly in the front teeth with a ball peen hammer always made me cringe.
Not much in the way of pre-shave prep!

Guy I worked with was around 5'4" tall. When he was a kid, he pulled some stupid 3 Stooges stunt on a neighbor kid, who almost lost an eye over it. He maintains that his Dad beat him so hard that he grew up 5 inches shorter because of it.
