How to setup a warranty return with Merkur

So I have a Futur and the blade is out of alignment. It appears that there is some slop in the center adjustment mechanism which tilts the whole upper portion of the razor to one side, making the razor almost slant-like. While the idea of an adjustable Futur slant is intriguing, I think I'd just like to have it fixed. :001_smile

I have read that Merkur offers a 10 year warranty on their razors. Anyone know who I need to contact or call to get this fixed?

Bump!

With all the great press that Merkur gets around here I can't believe that nobody knows how to take Merkur up on their 10 yr warranty. This basic info should be part of the forum sticky.

I got a bad one too and the dealer from whom I purchased it immediately sent me another. Could you perhaps take it back to whomever you bought it from and let them deal with the warranty? Assuming you bought direct from Merkur then I'm not sure what the procedure is...would be interesting to know though.
 
Please first contact your dealer. He's the one whose responsible, then if nothing works contact Merkur/Dovo.

My Futur broke when I was taking it appart. Although it shouldn't have broken in part I am sure I was to blame. Contact Anne at the above email and include photos of the problem. (She will ask for them if you don't) I was sent a replacement part within a week of first contact and have only positive things to say about their customer service.
