A little late and sorry I missed the question. I have one in my Montague end table humidor (holds up to about 1500 cigars) and it is about perfect. Well worth the money
I was taught to not use this method as there is a chance to warp the cedar.
Instead I was taught to load up humidification system that you plan on using and insert it into the empty humidor and close it up for a few days and let the wood absorb the moisture slowly and evenly.
I seasoned my first humidor the traditional way and it never maintained humidity.
