How to get the "perfect shave"

I got one of these at Target yesterday on clearance. It was not the T&H version of course, but all of the insides were the same. My son (5) was able to get a BBS shave on the first pass. The cream in the can smells nasty grapey, so I whipped him up some KMF unscented. He was impressed.

Soon he will join the brotherhood of B&B :w00t:

No way my son would settle for this.
For a 4 yo, he has advanced demands.

Only the "golden one" will do (Gold Tech)
And a higher quality badger brush "The white one hurts and scratches" (My boars)
With soaps he isn't that demanding, the only thing important is that it "smells much" so no Sensitive here!

Allthough he never pays any attention to proper angle and often uses way to much pressure, he can finish a multipass shave, complete with re-lathering on both his face & the bathroom door, in under 2 minutes!
Always BBS & never any irritation :w00t:
I'm proud to shave besides him.

(before you call the social services, NO, I do not let him have a blade in the razor...but I did have really fun last week, when my wife opened the door, looking at us shaving, & I quickly asked him : So dude, how do you like the new blade I put in, isn't it amazing how sharp it is" The look on her face was a true Kodak moment :biggrin1:)

I would have loved to see that one!!!:lol::lol:

I usually get the "evil eye" from SWMBO whenever I try to tug our 12-year-old son away from her apron strings and do man stuff with him . . . you are a lucky guy to have that bond with your boy!! Enjoy it now, because once they become teenagers they will have NOTHING to do with parents. (Good news - that part only lasts until they are about 25 - unless, of course, they are starving.)

That is awesome. My 2 1/2 year old likes to watch when I shave and sometimes he wants me to lather him up. When I strop my straight razor, he grabs a lint brush and strops on my practive strop. It is too funny.
