How Much Shaving Soap Do You Own?

You could store those outside, distributed along the perimeter of the house. This should get rid of any anoying flying insect problem, so you can enjoy your time outside more.

In all honesty, to me it just smells like soap. Also, it may have weakened, I have had all that for several years. But to me and my family, it was never offensive, but I do love the banter!
Now, if it smelled like the urinals I have smelled in Kenya, then I PROMISE you I would NEVER use it!
Moth balls and stale pee are awful, no matter how many different colors the moth balls come in.... No offense to Kenyans, just saying, that was eye opening...mouth closing...breath holding.... and tear inducing. But I sure would go back! I loved it! But then, I did not visit that starvation cult, either...

I too just did the math and figured that I have between 7k and 10k grams of soaps and creams.

I have maybe 6-12 soap sets I’ve settled into , I’ve owned and tried a few hundred perhaps but as many have said once you settle into what you like for me anyway the desire to buy and try diminishes.

I have around 500g (3 different scents). I have been wet shaving for more than 11 years now and never had too many soaps (2-4 in constant rotation). Always keep from 6 to 18 months stock. Recently it got worse and I had to give away some soap.

I had to change my vote. I probably have close to 3 kilos of soap just between all the Stirling (15-20 counting duplicates), Speick (8 tallow, 2 vegan), a partial kilo of Cella and 2 tubs of MdC. Plus all the other soap I have

Mind you, I did hear a faint comment about the shaving soap in the fridge taking up some much needed space. I chose to continue my supper, with the face as close to the plate as possible and while complimenting the exceptional talent of the cook. The rest of the evening went fine. My soap. My precious.

I keep my stash small, but high-quality from a couple of artesian makers. Definitely not a soap investor, collector or hoarder.

I should have done the calculations a little differently -

You’re probably right about that. I think most of our stashes are grouped into the stuff we like (and therefore use the most) and everything elseI think most of us are doing our total similar to yours.

150g - 1000g of soaps or shaving sticks. I actually like to keep backups. I have more is the soaps in shaving stick form. I have to use for work traveling “Merchant Seaman". And I normally give my mi suegro some soap sticks. Since he’s the only one besides me that uses DE in the family.

I lept hard from occasionally using an EL89L and Barbasol and alternating between beard and shaving. Spent way more than I should have in the several weeks. As of an order placed this afternoon; approximately 80 ounces of soap and cream. At this point, I may well have enough to last the rest of my life.
