How many you own? How many actually see water & soap?

Ron R

I survived a lathey foreman
My personally own 4 Vintage Razors all get used bi-weekly, Brushes, 3, all get rotated Q3D, or every third day.

My stuff is not pricy collectable, think if I added value all up including Lather down It would be way less then $150.00 USD
I have a large collection of razors and about 3/5 are vintage and the other 2/5 are modern and they all shave well with the right technique has been my conclusion. I have a nice collection of brushes also that where all bought at sales prices mostly. I also have lots of soaps and aftershaves and even a bit of cologne.
I just used a different approach to saving money when it comes to shaving and cutting my hair.
You can save money if you stay content with a few brushes and a minimal soaps with a cheap version of a aftershave over time it will return your money back.
All i did was stop buying cartridge razor refills and gel = $80 per year + hair cuts(shaving your head) that cost about $ 30/month including a small tip and gas to get there and having to be there at a certain time appointment. So my example $30 x 12 + $80 =$440/year for personal grooming, 6 years later = $2,640.00 Canadian savings in my approach but a lot of it went back into buying shaving products so I might be up a little $ ?
As for seeing gear used(I enjoy variety) I shaved with cartridge razors for about 35 years(boring) , all of my shave products still get used at least once a year and others many more times as I'm a daily shaver! I could sell some of my gear but I do not wish to, took a long time to collect my gear and particular to them, I have given some shave products away to newbie's and a few to other fellows and auctions.
I have enough shaving software for about 3-4 years and enough shaving hardware(blades) for about 8 years so it just another way of looking at saving a few dollars into the future. I had lot of enjoyment collecting and corresponding to other shaving fellows + fell into a few rabbit holes along the way and it was good distraction from other issues in my life,
Have some great shaves!

But this includes an additional question about how many are used to the OP’s credit

I use all the ones I listed in the other thread except for their backups and they all have a backup/duplicate.

Philosophical Question: Does pointing out redundancy ever get redundant?

Well question is different know Matt at Razor Empourium has huge collection. But just a few he uses.

So people here have many I assume from pictures posted of what they used today.

I rotate through my fine brushes somewhat randomly, but they all get used.

I have five shavettes, and they all get used exactly the same number of times, because I literally lse the first one, then the second, and so on until I am back to the top of the list again.

I use my DE razors mostly only for clean-up. I have sold a lot of them, and am currently pitting them against each other head to head to figure out which ones to sell and which to keep.

My goal is not to only have one razor, but to make sure that the ones I keep are the ones that actually shave me best.

I don't have a 'collection' per se, but I understand that others do, and I don't see anything wrong with it.

Somehow, without trying, I’ve acquired 17 razors, mostly vintage. I shave w 14 in a daily rotation. The 3 I do not use are a Schick L (chrome head doesn’t glide well through lather), a Weishi 9306 that doesn’t shave at all, and a Dollar Tree 3 piece that will remove pieces of my face, whatever the technique.
