For me it is rather a question of physical space. I want them in one cabinet, and it's... filled to the brink. I mean I sort razors with 85mm handles next to those with 100mm+, so that I can place them under and above other razors. :117:

I did not want to start "another front" with SE razors so far, but if I would... what are your favorite SE razors? I am also hesitant because I already have too many DE blades. I heard SE razor performance depends even more on the blades?

Just throw me the names of 1-2 SE razors and blades I could use with them, if you don't mind! It would be appreciated! :thumbup1:
Sent a PM to you.

Far too many... Some are missing on the pic...

Well over 100. I keep a spread sheet of all acquisitions and sales, it needs updating, currently at 108...
The hobby part isn't for everybody but I love it. Find a $5 Fatboy in a case at a flea market and watch it go for $125 on ebay... quite a rush lol.
I put conservative values in the sheet, with prices paid, less sales amount.
Currently I sit at a value of $8,330, and a cost of -$1,359. Yep, making money collecting and nobody would ever say I didn't give them a great razor at a fair price.
Save the razors!

Since 2018 when i discovered DE razors:in purchase order
Wilkinson Sword Classic (metal one)
Gillette Slim Adjustable 1961 (gifted by my aunt, it is my late uncles razor)
King C Gillette
QShave (that futur clone, like the Ming Shi 2000)
Rockwell 6C (i use plate 3)
Gentleman Barbier with stainless steel short handle

I use about 75% my 6C, 10% the QShave,10% the Slim and the others just for a change.

Depending on the axial balance of neurotransmitters, the amount of DE and SE razors at my home shift between “embarrassingly too many” and “just three shy of perfection.” Well, always embarrassingly too much, but I’m still staring at lux whisker-removers past and present and thinking “that looks like fun.”

I have more than I need and less than I want. I think that's the B&B way!

I have had a lot of razors but I always try to maintain it at a "minimum", so usually for one to get here other has to go. As of now I have 12. I would like to get to 10 but I don't know how hard I'll try to get there...

I think I just passed 30 but I need to update my spreadsheet to be sure. I don’t plan on keeping all of them but will likely keep an exemplar of each type. I’m wary of getting rid of all of them and only keeping favorites because I suspect what I like and what works will change with time.

Merkur 34HD - first ever DE razor and only one for a decade. Now semi retired

Muhle R89 Twist - daily user

Razorock Lil Bastone - too aggressive never gets used

Merkur travel razor - used a week each year

Microtouch One - received as a gift. Used twice and stashed in a drawer.

THATTABOY!!!

I love vintage DE’s and hate shaving with the same razor more than a couple of times in a row.

Let’s just say I estimate my collection at “a little more than 10 razors” :001_rolle:sob:

I've got 10 new razors, as in manufactured current day. I never even wanted 1 of them, but they've either come in lots i bought or in two instances i traded what i considered little value for high value responding to a bst request.
Example, not to long ago someone posted they wanted to trade a progress for a tech...I jumped on it out of curiosity as I've read alot of buzz on the progress over the years, and imo a tech is $10-20 tops. Plus I've got a ton of them just laying around i often pif to newbies.
A Rex Envoy came my way for a khaki set and a slim (fair value i thought), but again I traded away surplus, nothing from my "collection".
One I do love is the Feather ASD2 I got in a large lot new in box. It's a wonderful razor, but I'd say no better than a $10 tech so I'd NEVER recommend actually buying one for $200!
Here's my "new" collection fwiw...sans the two new Gillette razors I stuck in a box somewhere.
