Did a recount during the weekend to see where I am at. 678 at the moment which at current shaving statistics would give me about 16 years of shaving pleasure. So I think I need some more just to be sure

How many blades in ‘enough’?

I'm at about 350 blades!
That's roughly 1,050 days of shaves. Or almost 3 years of shaves. (I shave daily and use a blade 3 times before replacing it).

Given that:
I have over 2000 blades.
I toss a blade after 3 shaves.
I now sport a beard half the year
I shave no more than every other day when I do shave, and often every 3rd day
I have more than enough and will likely never run out. 2000 blades is enough for me.

My estate will contain many thousands of razor blades. I will just be known as another dead nut case.
I have about 4500 of 35 different blades, and I keep buying more!

I am a shavette user. I use mostly half DE blades or cabinet blades. One half-blade is good for 15 shaves. Recently my shaving technique has impoved and a half-blade is good for 30 shaves (2 month a blade). This makes my ca 650 blades last for 1300 month or 108 years. I am over 160 years old when my blade stock is empty.
You might get the honing/stropping bug by then, so the cabinet and DE blades will probably last longer as between-SR-shave treats
