How long do softer soap bases last? Such as SW Arcane Abyss and DG Massacre of the Innocents

Hi all,

As the title suggests, this is my first time purchasing both the Declaration Grooming: Massacre of the Innocents and the Southern Witchcrafts: Arcane Abyss. Both of which happen to be much softer soaps than I am used to.

My question is, how long until these 4oz tubs go bad? My intuition tells me they would not last as long as the harder ones, from the likes of, for example, Noble Otter.

Years if you load directly from the soap and dry it afterwards. Much longer if you scoop soap into a separate lather bowl/mug/palm and, therefore, keep moisture off the soap. Decade + if kept dry and refrigerated.

Cella red has a reputation for sometimes going rancid after years of rotation.

I’ve had SW soap since Feb and haven’t used it in months and it’s still fine. Still nice strong scent. Not a long time but it’s my experience with it so far

Have an SW alchemist(discontinued) sample from april 2020 still good. Probably won't use it all since I like the scent so much.
