How hard is it...

...to get rust off of a blade. I see o the net sometimes pretty nice razors, but with rusty blades/tang. Is it possible to get it all off and still end up with a good razor, or is it not really worth it. And at what point does it become not worth it? Just curious....

It depends on how wide spread and deep the rust is. I'm in the process of cleaning up a nice Haufmann blade at the moment. It looked terrible when I got it. After a couple of hours of sanding it's starting to come up quite well. It won't have a mirror shine like some as I don't have a power buffer but it'll be very useable. Other blades can look good but if it's got some rust near the blade then you're never going to get a shaveable edge.
