How do I wrap a Kamisori handle?

If you can use a paper clip (make a small loop) and pull the ends through the last 3 or 4 winds.

Yeah it’s all cinched up appropriately. But it’s only under two windings instead of three like you suggested at the end. At the end of the day if I have to redo it it’s not a big deal. I have a lot of leather left on the spool. The varnish is still very tacky right now so it’s gonna take a while to dry.

I am waiting for a kamisori to arrive. It has a Tosuke handle but
I will be looking for a local craftsman to give it the rattan treatment.
