@Nicholas Eldridge Some forum posts do not count towards your post count. I see that you have 10 posts so you should be able to PM another member. When you look at their profile you should have a Start Conversation box. Click on that and away you go.

It finally showed up. I think there might be some sort of buffer after you reach your ten posts because last night I was unable to see that button after I reached ten posts. Thank you all!
The software updates on its own schedule, but it does work itself out!
As I recall (and I might be wrong) posts in some sections might not count towards the total.
But anyway, get engaged in the various sections that interest you, and those criteria pass really quickly.

IIRC BST, Barbershop. Site Feedback don't count. Post Testing too, I think

Any post on any thread. But some forums you might post in don’t count towards your post count. Like this one
