How do I best spend $20 on Tallow Soaps

Greetings, Everyone!

I am looking to expand my soap collection beyond the current Proraso green tub and Col. Conk Bay Rum and Almond. I plan to buy several pucks from HBS but would also like to get two pucks of tallow-based soaps. As I am a poor graduate student, I only have about $20-$25 to spend for my tallows. I am leaning towards Prairie Creations and their Clubman and Old Spice scented pucks. I really like the old school/barber shop-type scents if that helps at all. I should also add that I have a friend in India who is bringing me a haul of Old Spice, Palmolive and Gadrej tubes. Thanks, in advance, for your suggestions!

Cheers and Happy Shaving!
-Greg

**Update** Thanks for the many wonderful suggestions! I have a friend currently in India who is going to bring me back $20 worth of cream/soap/Old Spice, so after I see what is in that haul then I'll decide on what to spend my planned $20-25. Updates as they happen! Cheers! -G

While not completely tallow pick up a refill puck of D.R. Harris (Lavender, Arlington, Marlborough). Every shavegeek should try a soap from one of the traditional English soapmakers.

Seconds for Tabac or D.R. Harris. I have shave-sticks of both (Harris in Marlborough) and love 'em. Excellent performance, wonderful scent.

I'll third the Tabac recommendation. I find Dr. Harris an excellent grade of soap. If you like to consider andartisan soap, My Bath and Body makes a nice line of tallow soaps in which you can customize the fragrance, all for less than $10 for a 5 once container.

The condition of your face after of few weeks of dedicated tallowy goodness... priceless!

One more vote for the Tabac, simply amazing soap, not the best scent outthere, but oh boy, does it perform well!
MWF is also an excellent option.
