How did you end up at B&B?

I ran across this site while on beesource.com werbsite. The member who posted described B&B as a wonderful place where old style art of shaving and other gentlemanly arts are discussed and promoted. I find this is the website I have to visit at the least daily or I feel something is amiss.
I was googling for shave creams etc and found it....fantastic.
I see this (thread) everytime I am on B&B. I still have no recollection of that incident
Tonight I was iching at the razor burn my cartdrige razor left on my face and thought I need a change went looking for razors and methods to a true shave and stumbled here and Im very glad to that.
Was googling wet shaving and stumbled upon an article called "Learn How to Shave Like Your Grandpa" on The Art of Manliness.
There was a link on the bottom of the page to B&B, haven't left since.
It is part of my morning ritual; shave, shower, check out B&B.

That's what finally brought me here.
Being a black male i've dealt with razor bumps and ingrown hairs probably since a short while after a blade first touched my face.
over the past few days i've been doing some hardcore browsing on the best way to keep them away and the classic "wetshave" seemed to be the only option that I hadn't yet tried.
Read a link on here and on a few other sites so i decided to sign up as this was the only one with a forum.
I'm in Canada and just went out today and purchased a $70
Merkur safety razor, $20 on the "Black Opal Mens Shaving System"; and $10 on some Body Shop Shaving cream.
So i'm here to take full advantage of a veterans advice as I start the journey to a (hopefully) clean bump free face.
Any helpful links to help speed up my navigation would be greatly appreciated. Trust me, (Ouch!) I need it. (ouch!) LOL

Oddly enough I saw the cost of an 8 cartridge pack of Fusion blades and a can of goo and thought about the good old mug and brush. Lurked around many websites finding a good brush, then saw some chatter about DE razors, found the well informative Mantic videos on youtube and now am here. Much better for it.

I was googling just what the deuce a shaving brush was for, and the gods laid the path for me. I can't remember what got me started wondering on the brush, though. I think something reminded me of a Calvin & Hobbes where Calvin used his dad's shaving brush for a "paleontological dig." Only now do I understand why Dad was so pissed.

Googled shaving and razors, like so many, after seeing a razor ad. But why did I do that? Because I am sick of the commercial hype and crappy fall apart plasticky products on the market (not just razors), and wanted something more classic, more satisfying, more enduring.
I found a comparative review of Schick Quattro and Fusion Power by Joel. I never thought it would lead me to abandoning cartridge razors for good 
Somehow I ran across an old Gillette in a metal case on ebay. I had bought one similar to it in London in 1995 and so I emailed the guy and asked him where he learned everything about the razor. He told me about B&B and that's when I signed up. I would have signed up much earlier had I known about it as I had also bought a few Gillette slims in the late 90s but didn't know anything about them either. Too bad I didn't think about looking for razors on ebay in the early years-I'm sure they were much cheaper then than they are now.

Like so many others, it was through Mantic's videos on YouTube that brought me to B&B. I have been on other sites, but haven't found anything to rival this place.
I placed an order for a some shaving soap from Susie's Handmade Shaving Soaps ebay store. During our correspondence associated with the transaction, she happened to refer to B&B.

I saw someone shaving with a DE in a TV series, and start looking for it on the web. Then i washed Mantic's videos and he lead me here.
