What's new

How did I do this time?

At the local antique shop today I picked out these two razors for $4.00 each. One is a W.H. Morley and Sons clover Brand with Victor etched on the blade. The second is a W.C. Horn Bro & Co that looks like it has never seen a hone.

Sorry about the crappy pics.

Nice work! All I saw at the antique mall I went to on a little weekend getaway was a double duck, looked to be about 3/8 and in rough shape for $50! and a couple others, equally outrageous in price, but not nearly as desirable... lol

Thanks guys. This antique store is the same one where I got my Simmons Hardware razor. They have another Simmons there too, in fairly good shape, for either 6 or 8 bucks. I'll probably get that one next time I'm in there. I'm not sure if the bottom razor is a Hornbro or a Horn Bro. All I can find about W.C. Hornbro is about a silver cup, or cribbage boards. I think it's a company branded razor made in Germany. Hopefully it sharpens and shaves well.

Nice scores. The shops around here all want $25-50 for poor condition unspectacular blades (Rusty old 6/8 sheffields with broken scales and pitted genco's in plain celluloid).
