Hooked on Straights!!

I recently was in a rush to catch a flight and had to quickly shave. I've only been using a straight razor for a month and a half so I decided to use my DE shaver, last thing I need is to be turned away from my flight because of a little thing like a sliced jugular vein. By that evening I could feel my stuble coming back. With my straight razor I can get through 1 and sometimes 2 days without feeling any stubble. That really showed me how great a shave you can get from a straight. Just thought I would share this with you guys

Straights- the shave good enough for Nathan Bedford Forrest.

C'mon, boys. If you want to have some fun, and kill a bunch of whiskers.

I'm surprised his whiskers didn't just run off his face in fear. But then again from what i've read he would have hunted the desterting whiskers down and whipped them tell they got back in line.

When you've got a good razor, well honed and good technique, nothing shaves better. Not cartridge razors. Not double edged razors. Not anything. A straight razor will actually clip the stubble UNDER the level of the skin. I did some 200x pictures of this in before and after scenarios with a straight razor blade and also the beard. The cut hair from the double edge looked like a very short tree trunk while the remains after a straight razor shave showed nothing above the skin line and a darkened spot under where the hair was cleanly parted below the rim of the follicle.
