I have the entire Shapton hc glass series: 4k, 6k 8k for sale. The have only lost around 3/4 of a millimeter. The sleeves and boxes are in mint condition. I must sell as a bundle all three stones for $161.00 + shipped of your choice.
Next i have a Naniwa 12k. It has 1/16" of its thickness used up, so instead of being 3/4" thicks its 11/16" thick . I must have 90.00 + shipping. You may ask why so expensive, when i can get a brand new one for 100.00?? Here's the reason: I epoxied a piece of glass to the back of the stone, so every last millimeter can be used up, and it will not warp, Naniwa 12k are prove to warping this keeps them stable. This is not an easy job, i actually made this look like the Shapton glass stones, backed with frosted glass. I took silicon carbide and i frosted the surfaces of the glass, i beveled and chamfered all the sharp edges and corners of the glass. I used a non-shrinking, non-yellowing clear two part epoxy . Everything is lined up perfect and flush.
