I come to the forum requesting the services of a bona fide honemeister. (Mods, if I'm posting in the wrong area, please feel free to boot this to a better location)
A while ago, I bought a whipped dog straight, and had a good experience with it. A month or so afterwards, I bought a brand new Boker that I liked the look of, and it was shipped to me "professionally honed." The edge was highly inferior to the whipped dog. I sent it back for re-honing, no improvement was noted. I was bummed.
This was a while ago, and in the meantime I've been using just my DE. I was thinking about selling the Boker on B/S/T, but I want to give this razor one more chance before giving up. Before using it again, I'd like someone around here with some mad honing skills to evaluate it and re-hone it (if they believe it's necessary). I'm more than willing to pay for the help (and shipping costs, of course).
If I can't get the razor to work for me after this, I'm willing to accept it and move on.
Please PM if you believe you can offer assistance.
Thanks!
