What's new

Honetrix

I have had some kind of nagura for a while that i often wished was bigger so i cut it up and kinda got it back together in some sort of unnatural natural. Ive tried it on softer stones with some decent outcome and tried to work on different methods for going about biz, but never so to say, changed the grain of the joining pieces so thats going to fun to see what that feels like.
Heres some pictures of the different combos i considered.
The cosmic lottery maxed the visuospatial staple or whatever so this kinda thing trigges me quite a bit since its also considering honing, AND getting away with as little waste as possible while gaining surface area.
I wonder if anyone else tried it, ive got tons of questions for you :)

Thanks man, yeah so far so good. Ive lapped it as is, without backing and it holds up quite good. Didnt get the joining side of the biggest piece flat to the very end so you can see the glue but i think it will lap out in a couple of tenths of mm.
In the picture you can see kinda how the nagura looked like before cutting. If we can talk of direction of grain, i think it is now like a hone cut from the side of a bigger stone. If i could redo it, it would have been nice to flip the nagura and get the layers different.
