Hommage Shaving Sets

Has anyone seen these sets http://www.hommage.com/ before? I emailed to ask if they would be making one with a DE and was told that it was something that they wanted to do in the future but I wasn't given a definitive response. Does anyone else like the look of these? If so, I would ask you to email the company as well, to see if we could get a more solid idea of how feasible a DE set would be.

Hi Alex,

The gentleman's Shop is one of the few UK stockists of Hommage shaving products, http://www.gentlemans-shop.com/cgi-...Manufacturer1_0=Hommage&GB=A&PR=-1&TB=A&SHOP=. The sets we retail are of an extremely high quality and are superbly presented.

Designed in Paris the sets are made in Keller, Texas and use Muhele - Pinsel knots of Badge hair. We have them in store here in Hungerford, easily accessible from Oxfordshire.

The CEO of Hommage, Tom Willscom, is a frequent visitor to us in Hungerford (http://www.badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2813) and is very keen to listen to customers requests. I know that he is developing the range of Hommage products into all areas of both tools and products, but it takes time to bring them to the marketplace. A DE is on the shopping list, but when it will appear is another question.

Regards, Robert

Yes. To clarify, the page opens without issue, but the links to more info on each razor don't appear to be in working order.

It sure is pretty though. $2500 for a razor, who wants to prove that they are the king of RAD. Unfortunately that design wouldn't work too well on a DE, but with an Injector or an SE head on there, all I can say is wow. Is it wrong to have immoral thoughts about a razor?:blushing:

Thanks for the reply Robert. Your website was the first place that I actually saw the sets. I am certain that they are of very high quality just like you say, and I would be more than happy to have one just to look at. But ever since I started using A DE, the idea of even having a cartridge razor in the house troubles me. I await the announcement of their first DE/ SE set with baited breath.
P.S All the links on this page are working for me.

Hi Dr P,

So far we have only sold Hommage sets from our retail shop. Charnham House is opposite a huge BMW showroom, Dick Lovett Hungerford, which produces a steady stream of customers who appreciate the design and craftmanship, but can sleep at night without worrying about the difference between grades of shaving brush hair! We only stock the lower priced sets so that they compete with the Edwin Jagger sets we carry, but Hommage also offer a unique design and exclusivety.

While I was working in Saks 5th Av I was appalled at the lack of shaving brush choices available. It was a choice between the same hommage sets we carry and a couple of AOS sets. Few people I met had any idea about shaving brushes and the Hommage sets were the best available to them.

The customers are out there DrP, but not on B&B...

Regards, Robert
