Does anyone out there have a home made recipe for metal polish that will make a razor nice and shiny without damaging the finish? I don't want to buy something just to shine up a razor when I have no other use for it.

Toothpaste.
Anything with abrasives will scratch the finish.
you are better off buying a non abrasive polish or just leaving it dull and not worrying about it.

or buying a tube of MAAS for $6.50 (with free shipping) and be able to clean hundreds of razors with no issues along with other stuff around the house
this has always worked for all of my razors.
