Hoffritz Slant Pricing

I had a very fruitless search at local antique shops looking for some vintage DE's. I always seem to find GEMS but no DE's. Anyway, I did stumble across this Hoffritz Slant and was wondering what would be a fair price to pay for it. The store had it tagged for $60 which i think is a lot.

Hard to tell from the quality of the photo but I picked up a nice minty one for US70. Case was also in nice, shiny condition. I think if the quality is not so good, 60 may be a little high IMO of course.

Is the Hoffritz simply a re-branded Merkhur Slant? Did any other companies produce a slant razor?

Have you tried Chessman's NOS Merkur Vintage Slant thread? He might still have some of these.

I just got mine and it's immaculate. $45 shipped.

Hoffritz is a rebranded Merkur. They were sold at cutlery stores by the same name. Although you have a blurry photo, it looks like it's in good shape. I would offer $50 max. Good luck.
