Decided to dip my toe into the Christmas scents this year and purchased Christmas Eve soap and aftershave from Stirling. Wowsers, it sure smells nice.....and as always, performance is fantastic. This to me captures the essence of what I think Christmas smells like....brings back lots of memories. Highly recommend.

And as we turn to the new year, good to remember with nostalgia the “classics,” once praised and prized, that even in the “old” style and the “old” base with care and the right touch, can perform as well or better than what we are pleased to call “new and improved.” A lesson to us all, that new is not a synonym for better, that improved often isn’t, that the two great tragedies in life are not getting your heart's desire - and getting it, and that age and cunning can overcome youth and skill.
