Last night’s shave
RazoRock JAWS 0.84
Shark Super Stainless (14)
Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
AP ShaveCo Cashmere 30mm synthetic brush
Pre-shave: hot shower
Lather: Canada Shaving Soap, face-lathered
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky
Post-shave: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream

First use of Canada Shaving Soap and it seems to be fantastic! Loaded and lathered quickly and the lather was easy to adjust.

Shaving after two intensive conference calls; one off shift; is not recommended. Despite a lack of physical exhaustion, the mental fatigue helped me apply habits of pressure instead of enjoying the shave. The lather of the Canada Shaving Soap helped spare me, but I overpowered it for a shave that had reduced comfort throughout. Thankfully, another session of Happy Razor Fun Time is right around the corner.

No nicks; No irritation; Very Close and Very smooth. A pleasant DFS+ steep angle shave. 3 passes + touchups.

Shave log summary 20220620

Cheers!!!

High (overly?) efficency shave last night.

Pre-shave: Dr. Bronner's peppermint oil soap, homebrew sea salt scrub (maybe a bit too... enthusiastically), followed by a lukewarm-cool shower (never saw the point of a long, hot shower in the summer).

Proraso green pre-shave balm

MnM combo- Maggard MR8 beast handle mated to Muhle R41 head

Wilkinson Sword blade (2nd use)

Proraso green shave cream

Naked Armor stainless steel scuttle

Perfecto badger hair brush

Bannister & Mann Citracuya aftershave balm followed by Duke Cannon Ice Cold balm (see below).

6/10. On one hand, damned smooth shave, w/o any nicks. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that I overdid it w/the preshave scrub, given that I needed a 2nd application of aftershave balm, & my face feels a bit iffy even now.
