What's new

heresy- but don't break out the

pitch forks and torches just yet. On the advice of someone in the wet shaving biz for years, I purchase a can of Aveeno Therapeutic Shave Cream. Yes, a can. However this stuff is really good. A very small amount goes a long way and it delivers a very smooth shave. A pleasant odor like almond extract. Slick as a gut and leaves the face very nice. Check it out:thumbup1:

Personally, I'd eat a puck of Williams before I use a can of goo again, but if it works for you - that's whats important.

I used Aveeno for about 20 years with good results. Then it was discontinued earlier this year and that is what spurred me to begin the DE trek as I was looking for a replacement. I saw recently where it is once again available after a 6 month hiatus. It is definitely not bad but I enjoy the smells and feels of the good creams now so I won't be going back. I also don't suffer from neck rash which was why I started using Aveeno per a dermatologist's suggestion in the first place. Technique including pre, during, and post shave has proven to be more important for my skin's overall condition. But as far as canned shaving creams go I do think it is the best.

This I want to see...whats that address I send the case of Goo to....I will also send a puck of williams for each can.......BUT we need Video !!!!!!!

The worst thing that could happen at this point is that someone make a goo that's better than traditional products. I mean, how could I keep justifying all these freakin' soaps, creams, and brushes? :biggrin1:

I don't know how I'm going to get rid of the 2 cans of cream and 2 cans of gel I have left from my pre-brush days, never mind trying a new one. Not happening!

As canned shaving cream goes, I found Aveeno to be the best. This is what I was using before I discovered a brush and the creams and soaps that went with it. Never looked back.
