I had this razor for 2 years and it's one of the better ones I own, but I've only been able to get 1 really great edge despite multiple touch ups, bevel resets and stropping I nailed 1 decent edge on this razor once. I think it's maybe a 1/2 or 3/4 hollow... stiff blade.
Wanted to use it but had been so frustrated with the weird edge I did 10 laps on a quite loud vintage linen I had been working on. I never use fabric, I was in wreck it or fix it mode and expected to end up back on the stones again. I followed up with my normal strokes on shell and ran off to shave, not really expecting much.
This razor had been used 3 or 4 times and re-stropped. This time the edge was perfect. Just 10 strokes away from perfection for 2 years? Wow....
