Helping a Trac II user

My dad mentioned he's having a hard time finding cartridges for his Trac II razor. I thought I'd test the B&B waters and see if anyone can suggest an online vendor for these. I'm also considering getting him an injector to try out as an alternative. Thoughts?

My Dad is stuck on a trac II also. Vintageblades carries the merkur trac twin blades. My Pop liked his house cream.

I sure like the injectors myself. Lots of them on the bay and here.

I will occasionally use a trac II if I am in a hurry or when I am in the mood to use one of my aftermarket handles that I like very much. Classic Shaving handles the Merkur and is an excellent vendor. I think Wal-Mart and Walgreen's usually have them. You will also find them on eBay.

Happy shaving,

Doug

My Walmart still carries the Personna blades and the new Wilikinson Sword blades for ~$3.50. Both are very good blades. The Personna website offers their Twin II Plus (the ones with the lube strip) blades for $3 with free shipping.
I'd stay away from the Dollar General brand, as they are not as smooth, but your dad may not mind.

There are also several kinds at Desistores.net, but shipping is prohibitive unless you oder a lot.

Razorsdirect - and they've always provided good service. Free shipping.

I love my TracII and its probably given me the best shave of all the carts. I have no problem finding them here in my area. Try CVS, RiteAid and grocery stores.
I also see a lot of ebay really cheap.
