Help with Straight ID

To my untrained eyes, the Marking appears to be an Ace of Spades (or clubs, the rust has obscured the logo a little), The name stamped above Stolingen is almost certainly "G Herder"

The stamping/engraving on the tang is almost certainly not a stock thing, I'd suspect it's the initials of the original owner

There'd be those other then me who can tell you more, but that's what I can get from your pictures.

Hope this Helps

Wow, from the first look i would have thought it was an English blade. Most of the blades from Solingen are quite a bit lighter and full hollow. this one looks pretty wedgey, shoulderless and a french nose. ...sorry not to be of more help.

Thanks for the info so far. I was taken back as well that this was not English. The grind is more hollow than wedge but the lines and size had me thinking it was English. The stamping on the tang looks to be original - I don't think it is the name of the first owner but of course I could be wrong. I can't find much on "G Herder" my thought was that is said "K Herler" or "G Herler" but I can't find any manufactures that match that either. The 'Ace of Spades' observation I can see. The other thought I had was that is looked like a strawberry. Does anybody recognize the markings and could attribute it to a specific manufacturer?

It is a Herder razor. I have seen one similar before. I have seen one like it before with better defined lettering.
I bet she'll clean up nice!
