Help with more details of this Tech

My wife picked up this Tech at a local flea market. Browsing through forums, websites and images, I can't find any info with this handle. I found this link in a google image search: http://www.executive-shaving.co.uk/vintage-gillette-tech-safety-razor-heavy-duty.php

There is no serial number or date code. The bottom has "REG US" in the upper left, "PAT. OFF." in the upper right, Trade Gillette Mark diamond logo in the bottom left, and "MADE IN USA" in the bottom right

On the 12th day of Christmas your true love gave to you.. a Frankenrazor! The pre-war tech head should have come with the Fat handle, bakelite handle or ball end; but I personally like the handle. Reminds me of a GEM handle or Segal.

I'm not sure what the handle is from, but the head is an early Tech, made between 1938 and 1941. You can spot the early Tech by the four triangular shaped holes in the base plate. Later techs are simple straight slots. It looks like the head has a dinged up blade guard in one corner, so it might not shave very good. Here's the Tech wiki. http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/Tech

Thanks for the info! I was wondering if it was a case of Frankenrazor but wanted to be sure. The flea market here usually sells a DE for $5. I picked up a red tip superspeed a few weeks ago. Again, thanks or the info and Merry Christmas!

For sure the handle comes from a Star and it's actually a nice combination. It's solid and has a good grip. Pairs well with the triangular tech head.
