Help with brush decision

Hello, I'm looking to replace my brush and would like to get an advice.
I trying to decide between shavemac #177 21mm and Simpson Wee Scot Best Badger. Also what is the difference between 21mm and 23mm knot size on shavemac #177?

There is a big price difference but I read good reviews on both. I currently have Merkur Silver Tip brush that i got from vision set and I don't like. it that much. Handle is too long and its not that comfortable for me to use

I have pretty small hands so I want to keep the brush manageable in size. I would like it to get good lather on face and in lather bowl so what would be best overall choice.

Thanks

Alex

Without knowing much about the Shavemac, I would choose it. The Wee Scot was a bit tiny for me to use everyday. You are comparing two vastly different brushes. I know a lot of people here love their Wee Scots. It is going to be the far opposite side of the spectrum than your current Merkur brush. Hopeully someone can come along and give more detail about the Shavemac.

I think Merkur brush is too big for my face. also I don't really like the long handle on it.

All three brushes you've mentioned are very different. I also found the Wee Scot too small. I couldn't imagine bowl lathering with it.
The Shavemac has a similar soft feel to the tips as your Merkur, which I believe has a Muhle knot, but with more density and backbone. If you find the Merkur too big, then you'll probably find the 23mm Shavemac knot too big also.
I think the Shavemac 21mm is a very good all-around brush that you'd be happy with.
If you're looking for a small brush, then the Saville Row 3120 from QED would also meet your criteria.
