Thanks to all for the input, I’ll be experimenting with my prep for sure. I’m also interested in the Timeless TRBR38 in Bronze with the .38 blade gap. The reviews seem to point to a mild yet efficient shave, plus it’s simply beautiful to look at. Any thoughts on that route?
Mine should arrive very shortly... I'm happy to report back, if you'd like?
Will you stop posting pictures of the wretched bronze razor, please!?! I already caved, been checking the tracking twice a day for a week now... stop torturing me!!Since you like a milder shave I would suggest a Timeless Bronze.
That is a beaut, by the way. Congrats!OK, don’t want to start no trouble or contribute to a RAD condition. Hope you enjoy your new razor
You're killing me. I now must have one. Lol.If you like new shavers, a TTO Weishi 9306-F. It's a high quality Japanese Gillette Super Speed clone made of chrome plated brass.
$11.62 with a travel case (mirror inside), blades and cleaning brush.
I have one and a 34c. It's milder than the 34c.

Good questions. What do you enjoy about your Merkur, and what do you feel is missing?
Um... I think that's backwards. Pre War = triangular slots, Post War = racetrack oval slots.Gillette Tech post war (triangle slots) ...
My favorite non-adjustable has been my Pre War Fat-handle Tech, but I recently got a Black Handle Super-Speed (O2), and it feels (to me) very similar to the Tech, in spite of being a TTO.I’m still looking to add a 2nd razor to my collection, possibly a vintage after reading some of the posts above.
That is correct. Prewar is what I ment to recommend. My apologies.Um... I think that's backwards. Pre War = triangular slots, Post War = racetrack oval slots.
