After leaving my Leviathan opened since last Wednesday, I decided to give it a go. It had dried out, was no longer a cream. It still has the "pills" but it worked and created a great lather just like it used to. The pills did not seem to impact the shave as they are small and seem to disappear as I lather. Soap saved I guess.

It’s only happened to me once and it was some Cella that was very old. It actually started to smell rancid not long after I started getting little balls. I have fewer soaps in my rotation now so nothing gets that old. I also let them dry before I close them up.

I’ve had some soaps, SMdF cream for instance, get grainy. I think it’s due to stearic acid oxidation or separation, and it’s harmless.
