I will give it a go. You never know.It might be worth contacting Edwin Jagger direct and asking what they advise. They have a very good reputation for customer care.

When the brush is dry does it smell simply "clean," or of the last soap you used?Yes. Water is very hard, but I don't see any dust
Ok, just gave it a sniff, smells clean. Not of Arko. When the brush is dry does it smell simply "clean," or of the last soap you used?
It looks like your (rinsing) water is doing its job (and isn't as damned hard as mine). So at least we've ruled that out.Ok, just gave it a sniff, smells clean. Not of Arko.
Weird it only started a couple of weeks ago. I've used it daily for 2 years. Been fineIt looks like your (rinsing) water is doing its job (and isn't as damned hard as mine). So at least we've ruled that out.
I've obviously been cursed by the gods of traditional shavingThis is obviously the result of a curse...
Anyone who says anything bad about Virgin Island Bay Rum is bound to have some shaving curse put on them or their shave gear by the Voodoo Gods of shaving. Having the hair fall out of a perfectly good brush sounds about right.
As an experiment, pick up a bottle of VIBR, use it and at least pretend to like it.
Maybe pick up a small voodoo doll as well.
The shedding will stop immediately!
Not to state the obvious, but you do flick it, fan it or finger-bat it dry after every use, don't you?I've obviously been cursed by the gods of traditional shaving
Yes I never put it away wetNot to state the obvious, but you do flick it, fan it or finger-bat it dry after every use, don't you?
Just out of interest. How often did you use this brush?Yes I never put it away wet
Every day. I have other brushes but don't use them at allJust out of interest. How often did you use this brush?

That’s interesting. I’m currently looking into if brushes need to be rotated at all. I’m not convinced that they do. Two straight years isn’t too bad of a run. I would have expected a few more but still ok on a cost per shave basis. Does it smell at all? Mildew etc.Every day. I have other brushes but don't use them at all
I’ve yet to locate a discount code... maybe you can drop some breadcrumbs the next time you find one...The Spanish website yourshaving.com has some very good deals. There are discount codes if you search around.
Semogue 1250 & Zenith B03-A26 are two of my favorites. There are many good ones, though.

Wow. Will try that. ThanksA few of my boar brushes started losing hairs. I massaged a lot of hair conditioner into the hairs and let them sit on their bases for 24 hours. No more shedding....
