Help me solve a riddle!

Hi all

So my boss does this thing every year where he goes some place on vacation, and emails us every day clues as to what city he's in. All the clues are in and we still have no idea where he could be. All we know is all the clues refer to an American city. I thought I'd throw it up here and see if anybody had any ideas...

1. (an audio attachment of La Marseillaise, the National Anthem of France)
2. "A letter atop an operator"
3. "It happened one summer evening, 64 minutes before midnight, Eastern Time"
4. "Something you bring to a duel"
5. "6 with a band"
6. "A type of line and this individual" (attached was a picture of actor Adam West)

Also, he emailed once during all this with the following message, which I think was meant to give additional clues

"Stand at attention when you listen to the clues! Think like a gentleman when you read the clues! Assuming a position of prayer would be beneficial! Do not disappoint Nathaniel Pendleton any more than you already have today!"

Can't help with the riddle, sorry.

I'm beginning to wonder about this boss, though. It kind of sounds like the type of stuff our egomaniac does with us at our place of employment. Our mandatory "Lunch with the President" on your anniversaries, where you HAVE to come in during the day, even if you're working the night shift, really reveal a lot about who you're working for.

I hope you like this guy, and there isn't any coercion or underlying threat that would be directed at anyone in your company for daring NOT to play what may very well be a harmless pastime.

We have a pretty good group here, I'm sure someone will be able to join in and help.

Don

Don,

No, he is a very good guy. I'd call him a friend. And it's not a company wide thing just amongst a few of us

Yes, that's me posting on both forums because *I* post on both forums. What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with that, some may have had the impression the post was from 2005 and your boss was busted for using an old riddle.

Alright well many thanks to Ackvil for incorrectly posting that this was a rehash of something from 2005 when it was clear that that's when I JOINED THE FORUM. I thought it would just be a fun thing for people to take a crack at if they were in to that sort of thing but the whole thread got derailed on me so...

...much appreciated, Ackvil.

Whoa, man, he just misread the date. Easy now!
