Help me pinpoint a skin sensitivity

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of fragrance components that might be used in both Tabac shaving soap and Gentlemen's Best Signature Series aftershave milk. I've used Tabac off and on for a while and have had the GB milk for the last month and a half or so. They're both excellent products, but recently I've noticed that both of them sting a little when I use them. I assume I'm developing a sensitivity to something in the fragrances, but I don't know what any of the common elements are. I'd appreciate hearing anyone's thoughts on this.

By the way, another product this happened with relatively recently was D.R. Harris Marlborough shaving soap. I loved it for a while, but eventually the stinging started. In that case I'm sure it was the fragrance because I use D.R. Harris lavender without a problem.

I have a feeling I may soon have to embark on a trip down the "unscented only" road, but for now I'd just like to figure out what I definitely need to stay away from.

Thanks.

I cannot address your specific situation, but I, too, have some problems with certain products.
It seems I cannot tolerate anything with lavender. From TOBS to colonel conk's, lavender eats me up.
It's a shame, because now I'm hesitant to even try anything with scent in it. And I really like the smell of lavender.
I've had no problem with tabac, pre de provence, provence de sante, and institue karite. Which are all soaps, of course.
Recently, I've purchased cella, and salters mint cream. No issues yet.
Hopefully it's just the lavender, but it's a long, hard process to nail down exactly what the problem is.
Good luck.
