Help me pick a handle for Gillette New

I'm getting a re-plated Gillette New head from our own Krona Kruiser


What are some good handle pairings for this? I hope to eventually wind up with a UFO short Kaiser but need something to tide me over til finances improve !
You know you have it bad when you buy your razors in pieces

The fat-handle Tech is a classic substitution. A Mühle or Jagger handle should work well, too.

I was able to fit my Cadet (Pearl/Razorock) handle on all my old Gillette Techs, Lord, Ikon and Stahly razor heads. The handles are pretty solid. The razors cost about 20-27$. I don't know if you can buy just the handle though.

I've got the Ikon Bulldog II handle and a Weber Bulldog handle and neither would fit my New head similar to that one. The handles throats are too wide for the recess on the bottom plate.

True, they would have to be machined slightly narrower at the top, which is what I had done. The bulldogs will get stuck on the ridges on the underside before it fully seats.

I bought a razorock little bastone, and the handle is a great pairing with the New head. If you like a longer handle, the jaws is only $15. Also, you can look at razorocks, cadets, matadors, maggard and sabi. You should be able to get an entire razor for $15-25 that comes with a nice handle. Cadet carries a lot of different styles in the $20 range, too.

My next one will be something from this list: RR mirrored pole II, parker 91R or 94R, matador toro, maggard mr1 or mr18, or the sabi T1. Right now I'm leaning toward the Sabi or the Matador as well as the razorock classic hammer or mirrored pole, but I'm sure that will change by the end of the year.

I have the new RazorRock SLAB and it fits the exact same head. They are very affordable at around $30. Great handle.

I'm pretty happy with my Cadet handle. Very nice weight and inexpensive.
