Help me ID this razor

I bought this item off ebay about a month ago. It was labeled as a "Vintage Black Gillette Razor". Anyway, I have narrowed it down to a Tech ( I know...big help:blushing::001_rolle).

Thought it might be the 1951 W3 seen here. But the guard is different. Mine has triangular cut outs (Also its not black in the picture). The handle seems to be that one though because of the tip of the handle where the "gillette" diamond is larger than the circle.

The guard seems to be from this WW2 issued razor. :tank:

The top plate looks like that of the W3, but in black.:confused1

So, is my razor composed of several different razors, or have i not found the correct information yet? Thanks. Pics of my razor to come.

All the above links are from mr. razors website.

Post your own pics so we all can see what you have a question on.
It would help all of us if you can do this and would be extremely considerate.

Wow, quick reply John. Yeah I am in the process of getting the pics off my camera. Having some weird issues, but will have them up soon. I also hate posts that don't insert pics. thanks.

looks like the military type techs for wwII.

Thats what I initially thought midnite. However, going to Mr. Razors website (linked in the above posts), I cannot seem to find an exact match.

So is this a Frankenrazor? or is it a complete razor that I just have not figured out yet?

looks pretty similar.

I agree that the guard is, as far as i can tell, identical. However, the top head piece has a longer horizontal bar on the underside that connects to the screw (unlike that in the pics from Mr. razor). Also, the butt of the handle in mine is different in the way the diamond is laid out.
