Ok, so I'm trying to figure out which cream to let go as they both pretty much fall on the same category (great performance, workhorse, fragrance free (for the most part), inexpensive, etc.) I've used both around 5-6 times and lately I'm alternating daily between the two -the day before yesterday was JM, then yesterday Omega and today I went back to JM- to try to figure out which one to sell or trade.
Round 1: Size & price
This might be a moot point as both are pretty much priced very similarly and competitively, Omega tub is 5 oz for around $7 and JM Fraser's 8 oz for around $12, which by the oz there's a 10 cent difference, lol.
Round 2: Scent
I think both fall under the category of fragrance-free and pretty much let out the natural smell of their ingredients, I could be wrong (and especially on the JM) and if so please correct me, but the Omega smells like menthol and eucalyptus but very faint, well, you can smell it for sure but it's not in your face... it's like Vicks vaporub but way less pronounced.
JM smells very faint as well and it's like something medicinal or like hospital, I cant really describe it but that's the only words that I can use to describe JM Fraser's polar ice smell, lol.
I'm neither going to bat for, nor claiming I like either "scent." They're both meh to me in that department.
Round 3: Latherability & performance
Both lather wonderfully and perform great. I get great shaves out of these creams easily and constantly.
Round 4: Packaging
They both come in cheap looking tubs; the Omega comes in those regular black snap on tubs that the lower razor rock line uses and JM Frasers comes in a tall white plastic tub with a screw on cap.
I dont know what other rounds to add, lol... thanks ahead of time for any input.
